THE EXPERIENCE

Two islands, two Venetian traditions.

Colours & Traditions is a four-hour private tour of Murano and Burano. After boarding, visit a Murano glass factory and watch the glassmakers at work. In Burano, walk among colourful houses and lace shops, discovering distinctive places such as Casa di Bepi Sua. A welcome drink is included only with the Venetian Boat.

The Venetian Boat remains at your disposal for all the booked tour hours, including stops. You can agree additional stops or route changes within the booked duration.

Base fare for 1–4 guests. For each guest beyond the 4 included: +10 €, up to 10 guests.

On island tours, the water taxi provides private transfers between the planned stops; it does not remain at your disposal during visits ashore. The overall tour duration and visits remain as described.

  1. Welcome on board

    Meet at the agreed boarding point and enjoy a welcome drink included only with the Venetian Boat before setting off from Venice towards the lagoon islands.

  2. Murano · blown glass

    Visit a local glass factory to watch a live glassmaking demonstration. The glassmakers show how they create their pieces: guests observe the artisans at work.

  3. Burano · colour and lace

    Walk along narrow streets lined with brightly coloured houses. Local shops display handmade Burano lace, offering an introduction to this long-standing textile tradition. The route also features distinctive places such as Casa di Bepi Sua, known for its multicoloured facade.

  4. Return to Venice

    Cruise back to the agreed return point within the tour’s overall four-hour duration.

What to bring

For island walks, we recommend comfortable shoes. Dress for the season and the breeze on the water; bring sunglasses and sun protection on sunny days.

Cancellation

Cancel at least 48 hours before the service starts for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours incur a charge of 100% of the cost.

Are the tours suitable for children?

Yes, private tours are suitable for families. Life jackets are available on board and the route can be adapted to your group. Tell us the number and ages of children when planning your experience.

Do tours run when it rains?

Cruising conditions and the route must be checked according to the weather and your chosen boat. In rain or cooler weather, ask us about the boat’s shelter and facilities. For particularly adverse conditions, contact us to check whether the service can operate.

How can I check boat accessibility?

Contact us before booking and describe your mobility needs and any aids you use. We will check the boat, boarding point and stops with you. Access conditions can differ between boats and itineraries.

What will we see in Murano and Burano?

In Murano, the tour includes a glass factory visit with a glassmaking demonstration. In Burano, explore colourful streets and lace shops. This is a visit to discover local craftsmanship; the tour description does not include a hands-on workshop for guests.

How is the boat used during the tour?

The Venetian Boat remains at your disposal for all the booked tour hours, including stops. You can agree additional stops or route changes within the booked duration. On island tours, the water taxi provides private transfers between the planned stops; it does not remain at your disposal during visits ashore. The overall tour duration and visits remain as described.
